Practical Tips and Resources for Mental Health

Tips and links to things that will help you on your journey…

Let’s work on your mental state. Let’s figure out what is holding you back and find a solution?

  • Feeling like you are falling deeper into despair or deeper into losing your health? You need to figure out why, tell yourself to slow down and stop what you are doing to analyse if it is the correct course. There is no need to panic. The body and mind is a habitual thing and it can all be re-trained and rebooted.

  • Write down what is troubling you. Prioritise what you have written using a score of 1-5, higher score being more important and of higher importance and urgency to solve.

  • There is no need to worry about something if it has not happened yet. Only analyse the present. Not the past and not the future.
Only think TODAY! Be present in the moment! What do you need to do today to improve the results for today?

  • Figure out 9 pain points (issues you need to deal with and overcome) and then figure out the following to solve them. Write down all 9 points and with each point do as follows:

    • How does it affect you physically today?

    • How does it affect you mentally today?

    • Does the issue hinder you in any way today from carrying on?

    • Does the issue hinder you in any way tomorrow from carrying on?

    • Is there an existing solution to fix it?

    • If you cannot see a solution, can you see potential for a solution?

    • Write down possible solution/s, one or more if so.

    • Will the solution solve the problem today or in the future.

    • Make the decision to solve the issue. Start at the beginning and solve it slowly and carefully so that it never rises up again as an issue. In other words, deal with it without compromise. Finish the task and don’t just start and leave it unfinished!

    • Once you have solved the issue, mark it as solved! Mark it as complete, so that down the line in the future you can look back and see what you have achieved. It' becomes a re-enforced reward that spurs you on.

    • Tackle each issue the same way!

  • Once you have begun your journey in solving issues in your life, do not think of them as issues or hurdles. They are problems which can be solved. Think of your activity on them as a: Potential Problem Analysis (PPA) and an Eventual Problem Solved (EPS). There are NO mistakes in life! There are only choices. We merely make choices. Sometimes they work out for us and sometimes not. The benefit is, that once we understand this, we can correct our journey and perform less and less choices that lead to undesirable results and we start to make choices that favour desired results. This will then re-train your brain to always seek the path of better calculated choices because the more you face “failure” the stronger you become and more resilient you become in altering your course and journey to success!

  • Learn to forgive yourself, before you forgive others. Learn to be the best that you can be and to change yourself to be the ultimate you! You cannot change others, only yourself. However by changing yourself to the point that it makes a difference, people around you will change too and gravitate towards you and towards your path.
